I joined Pentagon in January 2017 after graduating with a masters degree in furniture design from Sheffield Hallam University.
As a visualiser, I get to transform the sales team’s pencil diagrams into bright and bold presentations to show off how awesome your playground will look once it’s finished! My background in furniture design and passion for photography, come in really handy when creating the virtual 3D scenes and generating visually stimulating images.
Working for Pentagon means I can finally express my creative side on a daily basis, it makes an incredible change to my previous non-creative jobs in offices and cafes. I was thrown right in at the deep end being given jobs straight away which made me immediately feel like a valued member of the team and not just “the new person”. Despite initially being unfamiliar with the design software, after three weeks I’d already completed my fifth design! The whole team at Pentagon are so friendly and accommodating, there truly is never a dull moment in the office.
Outside of the office, my number one hobby is snowboarding, between finishing university and starting my role at Pentagon I spent six months living and working in a ski resort in British Columbia, Canada. I’m also now a qualified snowboard instructor! My other top things to do include playing roller derby and rock climbing.
