Touch Sensory Spinner

An engaging piece of sensory playground equipment, the Touch Sensory Spinner brings together different textures and interactive features to encourage tactile exploration in SEN and EYFS settings.

Children can turn the spinner to discover artificial grass, an unbreakable mirror and a smooth whiteboard, comparing how each surface feels from rough to smooth. They can explore the textures while the spinner moves or stop to investigate each section, developing coordination as they turn it clockwise or anti-clockwise. What does each texture feel like?

The mirror adds another opportunity for discovery as children watch themselves in the spinner, while the whiteboard gives them space to draw and write. Strings can also be added to make the textures and colours move as the spinner turns, creating another layer of visual exploration.
