Play Tower for Bromesberrow St Mary’s CofE Primary

The Customer

With a main focus of helping all of their pupils reach their full potential, and shine together on their way to success, we were delighted to work with Bromesberrow St Mary’s CofE Primary School on their latest outdoor development.

The Objectives

Bromesberrow St Mary’s have previously worked with Pentagon Play and already had an existing trim trail in place, so they knew that whilst they wanted some more active play in this area, they didn’t want to add another trim trail.

Looking at towers, climbers, and other active play options, Outdoor Learning Consultant, Nicole Fairman, supported the school in choosing the best addition for their space.

Our Approach

Working closely with the school to determine their favourite things about each active play facility, and combined them together into a Bespoke Bodiam Play Tower.

With a green slide, children can whizz down to the green grass below!

This tower also has a low level climbing wall for the children to traverse, building their gross motor skills

Aiming to get their pupils more involved in nature, the school also added a Straight Planter Bench and Corner Planter Bench. In this space, pupils can learn more about flora and fauna, getting some fresh air and discovering their gardening ability.

The Results

Co-Head and Class 3 Teacher, Leonie Mison, was very happy with the installation and development, and gave us some excellent feedback.

“We wanted the children to have something to ignite imaginative play during their break and lunchtimes whilst also providing new physical challenges for them to overcome and experience.”

“The whole process was easy and formative. The team was able to explain the process and answer any questions we had with ease. This meant we were getting all that we wanted for the children.”

“Children are playing more imaginative games outside and we have seen this link to the seasons, i.e during autumn, children play as woodland animals and use the space as their home to store food (leaves, acorns, twigs) ready for hibernation”.
