Special Needs Outdoor Playground Equipment
Our dedicated products team have consulted with SEN experts, teachers and children to design and perfect a fantastic selection of SEN Playground Equipment. With the intention to help children with special educational needs feel comfortable during a school day, the feedback from the children themselves has been invaluable!
As many children find free-flow, open-ended, physical play activities therapeutic, we have designed a brilliant range of playground equipment to provide children with regulatory, heavy work activities and breakout spaces in their playground.
Promoting self-regulation and providing therapeutic activities in the playground is important for any school catering towards children with SEN as they begin to understand how and when to calm themselves, recognising when they are becoming frustrated, overwhelmed or unfocused, children are able refocus themselves and become centred and ready for learning.
Designed with inclusivity in mind, our outdoor play equipment enables children of different abilities and ages to play and learn together, encouraging cooperation and socialisation in the playground.
Our expert SEN playground consultants are enthusiastic and dedicated to helping your transform your outdoor space to benefit your children. Working in collaboration with you and your children, they can help design and install an area that will improve children’s behavioural traits, emotional feelings, memory, sensory processing, communication, imagination, social interaction and sustained concentration.
Pentagon Play’s playground equipment for children with special educational needs is unlike anything else currently offered on the market and we are dedicated to continuously expanding the range and adapting our products to ensure they can be fully utilised by your children, no matter their ability. We love receiving feedback on our products and designs to help shape and perfect our range!

Although we no longer look after St Bernadette’s School/Nursery I have just been to visit and look at the works to the play area. I would good like to say what a lovely good job your men have done and it’s a great improvement to the area.
I have recommended your Company to all the Schools I manage and hopefully you can assist them in the futureAlison Berry - Blackpool Council, Blackpool
We would like to say how much we appreciated the two guys being here, they were friendly, great with the children who wanted to know all about their tools they were using, and very courteous to both the staff and governors, and with their awareness of the health and safety aspects. Much appreciated!Tim Neale - Hyde Heath Infant School, Buckinghamshire
The whole process was so easy and well organised, from explaining what we wanted, it being designed to our needs and the structure being carefully built. The canopy is already benefiting the Pre-School, giving us extra space for the children to learn and play. As we enter the summer months, the canopy will help to give the children some shade during the hot parts of the day, but still give them the opportunity to explore the outdoor area.Kirsty Adams - Barnack Pre School, Lincolnshire
Just wanted to say thank you for all your help and advice with the play area. Both the children and the parents are very pleased with it! It's great!Jo Pond - Prestbury C of E Primary School, Prestbury
The MUGA has really transformed the way we play sport. It’s encouraged children to participate in sports they wouldn’t have tried before. So much so, we’re thinking of adding further line markings (such as Netball) to the court as the children are really eager to be able to play netball, tooAmy O’Toole – East Meon Church Of England Controlled Primary School, Hampshire
Thank you very much for the work you carried out at the school over the holiday. The children and parents love the playgrounds and so do I and the staff. I am hoping we might be able to use you again soon.Rick Hyde - Forest School, Timperley
