Special Needs Outdoor Playground Equipment

Our dedicated products team have consulted with SEN experts, teachers and children to design and perfect a fantastic selection of SEN Playground Equipment. With the intention to help children with special educational needs feel comfortable during a school day, the feedback from the children themselves has been invaluable!

As many children find free-flow, open-ended, physical play activities therapeutic, we have designed a brilliant range of playground equipment to provide children with regulatory, heavy work activities and breakout spaces in their playground.

Promoting self-regulation and providing therapeutic activities in the playground is important for any school catering towards children with SEN as they begin to understand how and when to calm themselves, recognising when they are becoming frustrated, overwhelmed or unfocused, children are able refocus themselves and become centred and ready for learning.

Designed with inclusivity in mind, our outdoor play equipment enables children of different abilities and ages to play and learn together, encouraging cooperation and socialisation in the playground.

Our expert SEN playground consultants are enthusiastic and dedicated to helping your transform your outdoor space to benefit your children. Working in collaboration with you and your children, they can help design and install an area that will improve children’s behavioural traits, emotional feelings, memory, sensory processing, communication, imagination, social interaction and sustained concentration.

Pentagon Play’s playground equipment for children with special educational needs is unlike anything else currently offered on the market and we are dedicated to continuously expanding the range and adapting our products to ensure they can be fully utilised by your children, no matter their ability. We love receiving feedback on our products and designs to help shape and perfect our range!

As this was our third installation by Pentagon, we have come to expect a high standard of service. Our expectations were met from the time of initial contact by email, through to the design and consultation process to the final completion of our lovely new area. thank you for making it painless.

Wendy Large - Christ Church C of E Infant and Nursery, Wolverhampton

In the short space of time the new adventure play area has been in use, it has seen an overwhelming positive response from the children. We are seeing some lovely imaginative play as well as increased opportunities for safe physical development and appropriate play skills amongst children for whom this is a particular area of challenge.

Grove Park School, East Sussex

I’m extremely impressed with the service and quality of work that we’ve received from Pentagon Play. They’ve been working with our trust on a large project over nine different sites and the planning process has been faultless. The team has even helped our school’s adjust plans at short notice without any issues whatsoever. Again the installation has been faultless, we haven’t had any issues whatsoever and the team have been so helpful throughout the whole process. The end product is amazing, it has transformed our schools outdoor provisions completely and we’ve had nothing but amazing feedback from parents, pupils, teachers and governors. Having them work on this project has been amazing from a project management point of view and it has massively improved the learning environment for our pupils.

Thanks to James and all the team. You fully met our expectations and we are delighted with our log climber. It was great to work with a sales representative and installation team who understand the realities of schools.

Janet Hoyle - Watermore Primary School, Bristol

The installation team were friendly, efficient and genuinely determined to make our playground perfect.  The children absolutely loved watching the project take shape and it has made them realise all the hard work that has gone into it. We have already been recommending you to other schools and we will continue to do so.
