As Owner and Founder of Pentagon Play, Andy Snell has spent over 25 years designing and building thousands of playgrounds across the UK. From his very first project to his latest, Andy’s passion has always been creating inspiring outdoor spaces for children, and working closely with teachers, headteachers, business managers, PTAs, commercial owners and local councils to bring their ideas to life.
Andy’s hands-on approach and love of listening to children’s ideas have shaped many of Pentagon Play’s most creative projects (though he’s still waiting for a school to green-light his most requested feature... a rollercoaster!). His vision and drive have taken Pentagon Play from a shared dream with his best friend Mike to a national leader in playground design!

A Bit About Me!
When I was six, I met Mike Bischof, my best friend and future business partner. We started primary school together, built dens in the woods, and shared a love of sport and adventure. Neither of us could have imagined we’d one day build thousands of playgrounds together!
As a dad of two very active children, I see every day how important physical activity is for young people’s development. That’s why I love creating play spaces that challenge, engage, and inspire children, especially those who might not have those opportunities at home.

From the very beginning, I’ve been involved in every aspect of Pentagon Play, from design and planning to meeting with schools and supporting our incredible team. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and even prouder of the difference we’ve made for children across the country. We’ve built over 15,000 playgrounds so far… and we’re just getting started!
