With a background in kinesiology and a love of the outdoors, Daniel is particularly skilled in developing spaces that support physical development and wellbeing. A Bit About Me!
I joined Pentagon in early 2018 and I’m thrilled to be part of such a friendly, family-style team. Everyone is so supportive, and it’s amazing to work alongside people who are genuinely passionate about what they do.
I studied Kinesiology in the US whilst on a Golf and Cross-Country scholarship at Western New Mexico University. My sporting background has definitely shaped the way I approach playground design, helping me always think about how children move, develop and grow, and how a space can support that journey.
After spending five years living in the wide-open landscapes of the American Southwest, I found myself constantly dreaming up ways to recreate those feelings of freedom and exploration. My role at Pentagon has allowed me to channel that creativity into outdoor learning spaces, and I couldn’t be happier.
What excites me most is seeing the journey from first site visit to final installation. Every playground is an opportunity to do something impactful, something that genuinely enhances a child's school experience.
My Work at Pentagon Play
As a Senior Outdoor Learning Consultant, I work closely with schools to create bespoke, curriculum-aligned outdoor areas. From large-scale active zones to calm, creative spaces for reflection and social play, I help shape environments that encourage whole-child development and inspire every learner to thrive outdoors.
