Rachael is one of Pentagon Play’s passionate Educational Copywriters, bringing a wealth of primary teaching experience and subject expertise to her role. With over 13 years in the classroom and a degree in Primary Education with an English specialism, she understands exactly how outdoor environments can enhance learning across the curriculum.
Having taught both Key Stage 1 and 2, Rachael has a deep understanding of how children learn best: through curiosity, creativity and play! As a former Science Coordinator, she loved encouraging her pupils to ask questions and investigate the world around them, something she now brings to life through her engaging blog content for Pentagon.

A Bit About Me!
I may not have made it as a superstar striker for Liverpool (sorry, Dad!), but I did follow my heart into teaching. I absolutely loved working with children and watching their confidence grow, especially when they were learning through play. Science was a particular passion of mine, as there’s something magical about watching children explore, question and discover the world around them.
Now, as a busy mum to two adventurous young girls, I get to experience that same joy of discovery every day. We love exploring the outdoors, whether it’s visiting a farm, wandering through the woods or heading to the local park. I'm also a big fan of art and a complete bookworm (although these days, it’s mostly bedtime stories!).
