Tom Hollingworth is one of Pentagon Play’s passionate Outdoor Learning Consultants, working closely with schools and nurseries to create outdoor environments that encourage movement, creativity and curiosity. With a strong background in sport and coaching, Tom brings a deep understanding of how physical activity supports children’s development.
Whether it’s designing EYFS zones or developing more physically challenging active play spaces, Tom uses his knowledge and enthusiasm to ensure every outdoor area supports learning in a fun and inspiring way.

A Bit About Me!
I joined Pentagon Play in autumn 2019 and was instantly made to feel like part of the family. I’ve always loved sport and physical activity, so it was no surprise that I studied a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport at college before going on to become an Assistant Professional Golfer. One of the best parts of that role was coaching junior golfers and helping them develop both their confidence and sporting skills.
That experience showed me just how important it is for children to be supported and encouraged when it comes to physical development. Working at Pentagon Play gives me the perfect opportunity to continue that passion, but on a much bigger scale! I now work with schools and nurseries to design play and learning environments that are not only safe and inclusive, but also genuinely exciting and packed with opportunities for active learning.
Outside of work, I love keeping fit and continue to work on improving my own sporting abilities. I’m a big believer in encouraging children to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle from a young age, and it’s so rewarding to be in a role where I get to support that every day.
