Shape playground markings are a great way to take mathematics outdoors. Children will begin to recognise shapes outside of the school classroom and playground.
As our shapes can be coloured to suit your needs, children will also begin to recognise different colours and relate them to the shapes on the playground.
Children’s knowledge of shapes and colour can be cemented with fun, active games in the playground. One of our favourites is where the class go outside, the teacher or a chosen child call out a shape or colour and the rest of the class must run or jump to what’s been called out.
