A Bit About Me!
Growing up, I always wanted to be a footballer , and I carried that dream well into adulthood. When I realised my legs were better suited to climbing play frames than playing professionally, I figured that if I couldn’t be a footballer, building football pitches and playgrounds was the next best thing!
Outside of work, I spend most of my free time in the great outdoors. You’ll often find me cycling through the Peak District, enjoying the challenge of the hills and the fresh air. My childhood was full of scraped knees, jumpers for goal posts and epic playground adventures (I was definitely a teacher’s nightmare! Monkey bars were always my favourite piece of equipment (I could even do 100 pull ups by the end of Year 6), and I still have a set in my own garden today.
My Work at Pentagon Play
No two days are ever the same in my role, but my philosophy is simple: work hard, play harder. I spend my time meeting schools, understanding their needs and bringing their visions to life through creative, innovative playground design. Whether it’s a brand-new playscape or a transformation of an existing space, I love helping children, teachers and communities experience the long-term benefits of active, outdoor play.
