Meet Megan Ragdale, our Senior Outdoor Learning Consultant who brings a vibrant mix of enthusiasm, creativity and experience to the Pentagon Play team. Covering schools across her region, Megan is dedicated to transforming outdoor spaces into inspiring learning environments where children can play, learn and grow with confidence.
Her natural rapport with school leaders, combined with her eye for design and a true love of the great outdoors, ensures that every project she works on is both practical and packed with purposeful play opportunities. Megan is passionate about helping children stay active, curious and connected with nature throughout their school day.
Expertise & Qualifcations
- Has a BSc in General Biology
- A-levels in Physical Education, IT and Biology
- Over 10 years experience in working with schools, nurseries and educational institutes
- Strong knowledge of child development and curriculum-aligned learning goals
- Skilled in relationship building and managing projects from concept to completion
A Bit About Me!
I grew up in Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent and spent most of my childhood glued to a football and out adventuring with friends. Back then, I was totally obsessed with animals and sunshine, I genuinely thought I’d grow up to be a zookeeper! Steve Irwin was my childhood hero.
At school, P.E. and Biology were my favourite subjects! I’m a bit of a geek at heart and always enjoyed learning about the body, movement and the natural world.
What I love most about my job is being outdoors (and topping up the tan!), working with such a fantastic team and seeing how different each day can be. It’s so rewarding to witness the difference our designs make and to know I’ve played a part in creating something children will enjoy for years to come.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on the football pitch, enjoying a bite to eat somewhere new, shopping (maybe a bit too much... Max definitely thinks so!) or soaking up the sun in the garden or local pub.
